The Rise of Mobile Connects Us

Needless to say, we use our phones a lot, basically, all of the time.  It’s become second nature to swipe a finger and bring our magic screens to life.  40% of people surveyed use their device while using the restroom, so its safe to say our engagement with media has become regular and expected.

We have known for a while that mobile usage is on the rise. Today, the average person checks their phone 150 times-per-day. It’s almost as natural as blinking.

We as consumers are constantly sharing and consuming content through apps, texts, and regular old web. Who isn’t addictivelyplaying Flappy Bird to a high score of 3? From the emotional videos we take of our babies, to the photos of our gourmet meals or the panoramic shots of beautiful sunsets, our desire to share, create & consume is at an all-time high that continues to rise.

 

Brands and marketers should take notice. Those who learn to delight and inspire will create deeper connections. Having a great product is only half the battle. Using mobile creatively can turn 1 customer into 100.
