ELON “MISTER X” MUSK

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has once again made headlines with his latest social media move. On May 12, 2023, Musk changed his Twitter name to simply “X.”

The move has sparked speculation and curiosity among Musk’s millions of followers on the platform. Some have speculated that the name change is related to Musk’s recent foray into the world of X-ray technology, while others have suggested that it is a nod to his interest in the X-Men comic book franchise.

Regardless of the reason behind the name change, it is clear that Musk’s social media presence continues to be a source of fascination and intrigue for many.

X (the artist formerly know as Musk) has a massive following on the platform, with over 60 million followers as of May 2023 and his tweets have been known to move markets and influence public opinion on a range of topics, from cryptocurrency to space exploration.

His tweets have been both praised and criticized for their unfiltered and at times inflammatory nature, with some calling for greater regulation of the self-proclaimed “Chief Twit”.

The name change to “X” is just the latest in a long line of attention-grabbing moves by Musk on social media. In the past, he has changed his Twitter profile picture to a meme of Pepe the Frog and engaged in public spats with other high-profile figures such as rapper Kanye West. Which ended in Ye being pulled from the platform.
