It’s all everyone has been talking about.

Yesterday, a picture of a dress was uploaded to tumblr. The uploader couldn’t figure out if the dress was actually white and gold or black and blue. Who ever could have predicted that it would blow up as much as it did. It’s just another testament to the power of today’s media. A simple picture of a dress has split the online world into two camps – and not peacefully.

There have been reports that the whole endeavor was a social experiment. Depending on your mood, you saw the dress in different colors. That was quickly dispelled and discredited.

Wired Magazine quickly did an in depth report on the phenomena. Their results state that it all has to do with light balance and the way the brain interprets patterns. So, while some peoples’ brains see white and gold, others see blue and black. However, that hasn’t stopped individuals on twitter, Facebook, reddit, Buzzfeed…. you name it, from arguing their case.

Oh, and guys, the dress is actually blue. Like really, we’re not just saying that. We found the dress.
