18 May Connecticut Bears

No that isn’t the name of a new professional sports team for the state (although we call dibs if it takes off).

According to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, there have been over 4000 black bear sightings in the state over a year period. From 5/28/2014 to 5/18/2015, the DEP collected sighting information from various towns.

We have taken the pleasure of mapping this data to see just where these bears are the most heavily located.
