05 Jan Hey, look, there’s nothing here! ‘disappearing messages’ finally arrives in WhatsApp.
I once heard a great story from an early round investor into Snap. At the pitch a younger-than-now Evan Spiegel told the investor that the magic of Snap was that it was like life itself. It is there for a moment -and then it is over. You are ether there, or you are not. Kind of like the anti-internet. To help more “private” conversations, WhatsApp has rolled out “disappearing messages” feature, where message swill “self erase” after seven days. WhatsApp’s goal in this? The disappearing messages feature will help “the conversation feel lighter and more private. In a one-to-one chat, either person can turn disappearing messages on or off. In groups, admins will have the control.” Whew, just in time. HERE.
